Mocha Java is the oldest recognized coffee blend in the world. Mocha was an Ethiopian transplant coffee grown across the Red Sea in Yemen. Java is from the Indonesian island of Java. For our Mocha Java blend, we strive to be as true to origin as possible while maintaining quality. Yemen is growing some coffee, but it can’t compare to the quality from its origins in Ethiopia. Coffee from Sumatra also carries better consistent quality than from neighboring Java.
